About

History

In the early 1980, a group of Christians, under the Lord's sovereignty, moved to central Jersey. Being attracted and encouraged deeply in their hearts by the love of God, they desired to pursue further knowledge of Him.

The first home meeting of Christians was then started in 1981 in the neighborhood of Rutgers University. With the blessings of the Lord and through the laboring of the saints in one accord in spreading the gospel, new believers were constantly added to them.

On 1986, by the Lord's leading, we acquired a property in Franklin Park as our meeting hall, which was a nursing home, "Emanuel Home", previously owned by "The Brethren". After we settled in this new place, the assembly increased rapidly from a few scores to several hundreds. In the early nineties, prompted by the burning desire to further the Lord's work, saints started to extend their reach to the northern and the eastern parts of New Jersey.

As a result, two more churches were established in 1994, The Church in Nutley and The Church in Manalapan. As the blessing of Lord, a group of saints from Church in Nutley moved to Parsippany area to server the Load in west area in 2012. And in October of 2014, the Church In Parsippany was established.

We are sincerely looking for fellowship with all believers in Christ. Everyone that has been received by God is automatically received. We desire to serve God and express Him as the Body of Christ, simply according to His pleasure and the teachings in the Bible. With a warm welcome, we like to invite all those pure-hearted pursuers of the Lord to join us in testifying that the Church is the new man, where there can be no differences by race, culture, or social status, but Christ is all and in all (Col. 3:11).

Our Belief

  • The Bible is the complete divine revelation inspired word-by-word by God through the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:21; 2 Tim. 3:16).
  • God is uniquely one, yet triune—the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. (1 Tim. 2:5a; Matt. 28:19).
  • The Son of God, even God Himself, was incarnated to be a man by the name of Jesus Christ. (John 1:1, 14)
  • Christ died on the cross for our sins, shedding His blood for our redemption. (1 Pet. 2:24; Eph. 1:7a)
  • Christ resurrected from among the dead on the third day. (1 Cor. 15:4)
  • Christ ascended to the right hand of God to be Lord of all. (Acts 1:9, 2:33, 36)
  • Whenever any person repents to God and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, he is regenerated (born again) and becomes a living member of the Body of Christ. (Acts 20:21; John 3:3; Eph. 1:22-23; Rom. 12:5)
  • Christ is coming again to receive His believers to Himself. (1 Thes. 2:19)

Our Mission

  • To preach the gospel of grace and of the kingdom to sinners that they may be saved
  • To minister the life supply to believers that they may grow in Christ
  • To establish the church in each city that the believers may become a local corporate expression of Christ in practicality
  • To release the living and rich word of God from the Holy Scriptures that the believers may be nourished to grow and mature
  • To build up the Body of Christ so that the Bride may be prepared for the coming back of the Christ as the Bridegroom
